Step 2 for my practical plan of draft research proposal.

Proposed Project Title/Broad Question:

I would like to research what the real motivation for English people to get travelling to Thailand is. From the record data of Tourism Authority of Thailand shows that the visitors from England coming to Thailand more than USA and other countries in the word. What do they think about Thailand? Why Thailand is their choice of a holiday destination? What is the consumer behaviour in tourism at Thailand?

Title: The Factors to Draw up The Briton deciding to Travel in Thailand.
Broad Question: To set the assumption of many factors which draw up many English people to come to Thailand.  These Thai cultures, attraction places, weather, tourism policy or low living cost are the real factors in decision of The Briton to travel in Thailand?

Research Objectives / Questions / Hypothesis (delete as appropriate):

The objectives of my research is to find out what is the main and real factors to draw up people from around the world especially English people coming to travel in Thailand. In the research will analyse the tourism policy of Thailand and compare with another country in Southeast Asia.

I hope that my research will be useful for me in the near future because when I get back to work in my country, it is surely that I have to work in tourism field. Therefore, I will have the general idea about the consumer behaviour- English people or foreigners. I might know how to set the strategy to draw up many tourists to come to my country. Especially, I will know what they think exactly about Thailand.

I believe that the visitor, destination, tourism policy management are the important part in tourism sustainable. However, before setting the strategy, it is better to research and survey the market first. So my research would sort all the questions out completely and up to date.

Which research approach and methodologies are you likely to use and why?

I think I would like to use Inductive research approach for my primary research in this project (Observation > Pattern > Tentative Hypothesis > Theory). Moreover, quantitative research method will be applied in my research because I have to collect the example factors by using SPSS software.
Primary data- questionnaires, SPSS software.
Secondary data-  literature review, text books, academic books, journal articles, databases or indexes relevant to the research topic.

Problems/Issues identified so far:
I have never do the proper research before and because of English is not my first language so I am quite stress in doing my research. I have to read more books so many times to get to understand really. So many times in reading academic books or journal articles made me want to cry.

However, the real problem is; how to get to the theory that matching with my hypothesis because I choose inductive method for my research.

If all you guys have anything to suggest me, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Nathan
